About me.

If you’re looking for therapy that blends trauma‑informed depth with practical, measurable strategies, I’d welcome a conversation to see whether we might be a good fit.

  • I’m Amy, a solo private-practice psychologist based in Collingwood. I’m passionate about helping people move from understanding their experiences to making real, lasting change. I specialise in mood disorders and trauma because I’ve seen how safely processing painful events alongside targeted skill-building can open up energy, relationships, work and a renewed sense of possibility. I believe meaningful change requires both deep, trauma‑informed processing and everyday tools you can use between sessions creating insight and action in balance.

  • I’m an AHPRA Registered Psychologist and Clinical registrar with several years of clinical experience in private practice.

    • Clinical registrar completing advanced, supervised clinical training that provides additional senior oversight, advanced case formulation practice and specialist skill development.

    • Member of the APS — committed to ongoing professional development and best-practice care.

    • Additional training in Schema Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

  • I work with adults seeking practical, skills‑focused therapy and deeper processing, including people experiencing:

    • Mood disorders (depression, bipolar‑spectrum, persistent low mood)

    • Anxiety and mood regulation difficulties

    • Single-incident and complex trauma, including PTSD, childhood and sexual trauma.

    • Relationship difficulties and repeated interpersonal patterns

  • I work collaboratively and respectfully, ultimately you are the expert on your life and I bring clinical formulation, evidence‑based methods and practical tools. My aim is to equip you with both understanding and usable strategies so therapy becomes more than conversation.

    • Balanced care: I pair deeper processing of trauma and meaning with concrete skills and experiments so change happens in the moment and sticks over time.

    • Collaborative: we co‑create goals and a plan that fit your values, responsibilities and pace.

    • Tailored interventions: I draw on trauma‑focused methods, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT (cognitive and behavioural techniques), ACT (acceptance and values‑focused strategies) and DBT (emotion regulation and interpersonal skills) to match your needs.

    • Practical focus: sessions prioritise skills, real‑world experiments and routines you can practice between appointments so insight translates into daily change.

    • Realistic and compassionate: we set achievable targets, monitor progress and prioritise safety, pacing and informed consent throughout therapy.

    • Therapeutic values: confidentiality, collaboration and cultural humility guide every aspect of my work.

  • I’ve watched people transform when deep understanding is paired with clear, practical strategies. That combination feeling truly seen while learning how to manage, test and change patterns creates durable shifts in wellbeing. My goal is to hold both the emotional work and the everyday steps that lead to sustained change.

  • I recharge by walking my dog, Moon, discovering new restaurants, paddleboarding (Melbourne weather permitting!) and travelling when I can.
